Our Pastor
 

Though Skip Hunter was saved at the age of eight, he did not sense God's call to the pastorate until many years later.

Following graduation from Clemson University, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Skip married Wanda, then entered the United States Air Force. His military experience included service as a navigator and bombardier on B-52s. Skip flew during Desert Shield and saw combat in Desert Storm.

Skip left the U.S. Air Force and returned to Clemson University to earn his Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering while working as a design engineer for Square D Company.

After receiving God's call into full-time ministry, Skip entered into Seminary training at Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. During that time, Skip also served as the assistant pastor for five years at University Baptist Church in Clemson, South Carolina.  In May 2003, he received his Master of Divinity degree, and, in June 2003, he became the pastor of Sage Creek Baptist Church.

Skip and his wife, Wanda, have a genuine love for people. They, along with their children, Benjamin and Ethan, are sincerely concerned for God's children and for those who have not found Christ.
